From his childhood in the Trinity Mountains and a church orphanage in Mexico to his recent years on the Lost Coast, Brendon Alvord has spent time with saints and sinners. He can’t tell the difference, so he writes songs instead.
Friends have joined in for his debut album: Fiddlemaster Scott Joss (Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam) is on board, along with producer Steven Huff (Paul Collins Beat), also on bass and guitar, drummer Keith Mitchell (Mazzy Star, Opal, Green on Red), Eric Day and Jim Dyar on guitar, and drummer Derek Moss.
Coproduced by indie veterans Laurie O'Connell and Ed Barger (Meat Puppets, Devo, Monitor), the album will be released on Tripleshack Records in Spring 2012.
